Perperikon
About 16 km away from Villa Euphoria the famous Balkan archaeological complex Perperikon is situated. It is in its essence a sacred town made of rocks belonging to the Thracians, inhabited as early as the Stone Age. Subsequently Romans lived there, as well as Byzantines and Bulgarians, and in 14 century it was utterly destroyed by the Ottomans.
You can view some remnants of the fortress, kings’ tomb, some antique monuments etc.
